Baileys Balotelli – Cost €4000 in Roscrea 2011. Sired by Stockton Almighty from a Langside Looks the Part ewe. Tremendous breeder. His sons are doing a great job in commercial flocks and a few have made it into pedigree flocks as well. Really hardy lambs at birth with great carcasses and easy fleshing qualities from grass. A modern suffolk.

Ballybrooney Ultimate – The main sire used in the past few years. A super breeder with many sons and daughters sold into pedigree flocks. Sired by Wayside Topgun from the top ewe line in the Ballybrooney flock.

Crewelands Skin Tight – Pictured in November after running with 40 ewes. Purchased from Stephen Sufferin 2015. Sired by Birness Bravado from a Baileys Invincible ewe. From the same line as two lambs sold for 13,000gns in Stirling 2015. A super hardy sheep with tight wool and super carcass. Ewes in lamb to Skin Tight for sale in February 2016.

Greenhill Wilhelm – Purchased from J & C Mc Hugh 2015. He has exactly what we were looking for. He’s long, has a tight fleece, is active and has a kind head for easy lambing. Should be a good cross for Ballybrooney Ultimate daughters.

Murbro Almighty Speed – Pictured shorn out as a lamb having received no meal feeding. He’s sired by Baileys Balotelli from a Strathisla Speed ewe. His mother and sisters are our best ewes. They receive no assistance at lambing, their lambs are quick to suckle and these are generally our best lambs at weaning time. He has great colours and a super carcass. 20 of our best ewes are in lamb to him for 2016.

Cairness Royal Highland – Purchased from Jimmy Douglas in 2010. A son of Deveronvale Perfection the Texel record breaker. Most of the ewes in our flock are either daughters or granddaughters of his.

Blackrath Harry Potter – Sired by Derryharney Outstanding from one of the best cows I’ve ever seen, Castlemartin Ulanda. Has proved to be an excellent breeder which is no surprise as his grandsires are Oldstone Egbert and Major.
